It would not be possible for the House of Hesed to continue without the support of regular donors. Many of them are people who support us regularly each month. There are also some specific groups that have donated to Hesed this past years that we would like to recognize.

Winnipeg Foundation - The Winnipeg Foundation generously donated the finances for us to get new carpets installed in our entryway, stairs, med room and office! This is the first time the flooring has been changed since we moved to our current location over 10 years ago. We are so grateful for the brand new carpet. It makes our home so much brighter and welcoming to all of our Residents and guests. They also donated the founds for some of our staff to go to Mental Health First Aid. This allows us to better serve our residents in their areas of need.

Thomas Sill Foundation - Thanks to the Thomas Sill Foundation we were able to get some work done around the house which increased our security and will lower our annual maintenance fees. This has been a wonderful gift as we want to make sure that all of our residents, volunteers and staff are safe as possible. We also want to be good stewards of what God has given us, including our home. We believe that keeping things well maintained is one way of how we can accomplish that.

Gordon King Memorial United Church - The congregation from Gordon King have done several food drives for us over the past few years. This is a wonderful gift that helps us to keep our pantry full and food on our table for our residents. Their donation is such a great blessing every time they come and often it shows up when we need it most. They also host the annual "Wang Dang Doodle" Coffee House FUNdraiser in support of House of Hesed. This is such a fun event, showcasing some of Winnipeg's best talent. We are grateful for the support of "this little church with the BIG heart".

Grant Memorial - The ladies from Grant Memorial got together and collected mass quantities of paper products, pillows, and hygiene items for us! This is such an amazing blessing. As anyone who has their own family knows, these items add up and end up being quite the expense over the course of a year. When a few of the ladies came to drop off the items our dining room and back porch were full of napkins, toilet paper, paper towels and the like. They also did a food drive for us that had our pantry overflowing for a few months! We are so grateful for their continual support.

Monthly Donors -  A huge shout out to our monthly donors! It is through them that we are better able to set our budget and meet the expenses that come along with owning a house and keeping it running smoothly. We are so blessed by the faithfulness that these people/organizations show by supporting us on a regular bases.

One-Time Donors - We are also thankful for all the one-time donations that come in throughout the year. In the past few months, we've been blessed with many different donations including clothing, books, dvds, food, office supplies, and gift cards for groceries and house repairs. All of these items are a blessing to all the residents and staff at House of Hesed. We are so often blown away by the generosity and love that is sent our way.

Harvest Manitoba

For the past 17 years Harvest Manitoba had been donating food for us and we are so grateful . This goes a long way to supplementing our grocery expenses. God bless the staff , volunteers and everyone who donates. Heartfelt appreciation to our Hesed volunteers, Peter, June and Clive, Jules and Lee, these wonderful people pick our goodies ever week.
