Making a Difference at House of Hesed
Volunteers play a crucial role at the House of Hesed. They are the beloved people who fix our broken stuff, help us clean up, cook wonderful meals and snacks, go grocery shopping, run errands, take our residents out for coffee, or just hang out at the house.
Things to Know Before You Volunteer
- Building Relationships: One of the most important things you can do as a volunteer is simply building authentic relationships with our residents.
- Safe Environment: You cannot catch HIV/AIDS through regular, casual daily contact with someone who is HIV positive.
- Unconditional Love: We love our residents with unconditional love—the same way we are loved by Christ—no matter what their personal beliefs may be.
