We acknowledge that HE works through His people and as such we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of the following who have made and continue to make a significant impact on the ministry of House of Hesed. It would not be possible for the House of Hesed to continue without the support of regular donors. Many of them are people who support us regularly each month. There are also some specific groups that have donated to Hesed in the last few years that we would like to recognize.

Without the consistent, compassionate generosity of the individuals, Churches, Foundations and various organizations who donate to House of Hesed, this ministry would not have survived for these past 27 years.

In 2024 the Winnipeg Foundation generously provided us with a onetime grant to help cover some of our operating expenses.

Over the years the Winnipeg Foundation has also provided the funds for us to purchase new carpets, whole house insulation, mental health workshop for our Staff, a Staff retreat, a new wheelchair lifts and so much more.

The generosity of the Winnipeg Foundation has contributed greatly in keeping our doors open, fully staffed and operational 24/7. They also allow us to better serve our residents in their areas of need.

The congregation from Gordon King have done several food drives for us over the past few years. This is a wonderful gift that helps us to keep our pantry full and food on our table for our residents. Their donations are such a great blessing and often shows up when we need it most. They also host the annual “Wang Dang Doodle” Coffee House FUNdraiser in support of House of Hesed. This is such a fun event, showcasing some of Winnipeg’s best talent. We are grateful for the support of “this little church with the BIG heart”.

This year Gordon King Memorial also bought Christmas gifts for all of the Residents and the Staff. This was a tremendous blessing to all of us.

The generous, compassionate folks at Grant Memorial Church have provided emotional, spiritual and physical support for this ministry for the past 12+ years. From food and paper drives to purchasing new IT equipment for us, Grant memorial has consistently sought out ways to provide for this ministry in meaningful ways. This is such an amazing blessing. As anyone who has their own family knows, the cost of living has gone through the roof in the past few years, and the trend continues to rise!

We are so very, very grateful for our monthly donors, many who have been supporting us since the inception of this ministry 27 years ago. Thanks to our monthly donations we are better able to set our budget and meet the expenses that come along with owning a house, keeping our ministry fully staffed 24/7 as well as all of the other expenses that maintaining a ministry entails. We are so blessed by the faithfulness that these people/organizations show by supporting us on a monthly basis.

We are thankful for all the occasional donations that come in throughout the year. In the past few months, we’ve been blessed with many different donations including clothing, books, food, baked goods, personal hygiene items, office supplies, and gift cards for groceries and gas. These items are a blessing to all the residents and staff at House of Hesed. We are so often blown away by the generosity and love that is sent our way.

For the past 26 years Harvest Manitoba had been donating food for us and we are so grateful. This goes a long way to supplementing our grocery expenses. God bless the staff, volunteers and everyone who donates to this very worthy cause.
